I have a very expensive multimedia system built around computer control. I though that this was the answer to my prayers to get really great quality sound into some of the far reaches of my home.

That works fine and the sound, as with all Bose products is outstanding.

So what’s the problem… Very simply, this thing turns off all sound except for its own when in use! My very expensive sound system sits there unheard and useless the minute I want to use this remote speaker! It does not augment your current system, it replaces it! A total rip off in my opinion and mine will end up in our next garage sale or donation to local charity!

Don’t waste your money like I did!

Bluetooth connection is faultless – no dropouts. You wouldn’t expect anything less from Bose.

Sound quality does not match Wave Music system. Less base, so sounds a little harsh to my ear. Although the Soundlink uses waveguide technology it is in a different shaped case, and this has resulted in a slightly different result.

Otherwise a first rate product you will love from the first minute – after you get over what you had to pay to get it.

USB key must be plugged into Mac after Mac is running in order to be discoverable. Otherwise USB key is unseen and SoundLink will not function. This bug requires that you unplug and replug the USB key into the Mac every time you start the computer. Not good.

Hello Guys. I have one this amazing little wireless speaker from Bose. I will tell you shortly what is good about it. It is a very light and compact, nice looking carry around the house unit. Pretty simple to install in your computer. Using tiny USB antenna module. Select the sound source on your computer, select sound card output for Bose and thats it. The cool thing that you can control and switch between playlists and trucks when in iTunes source, using the unit remote. Now I can listen FM radio stations from Moscow Russia in my case or all over the World in your case, while in the kitchen, basement, garage, jacuzzi. The sound is very clear and loud for the unit size, great batteries life too. So I am very happy with it so far. Bose+++++.
